This year marks the 60th Anniversary of FPRA’s Golden Image Awards where members join together to celebrate excellence in public relations. This tradition begin in 1957 when an annual awards program was created by the Association and later evolved into this prestigious event. During FPRA’s Silver Anniversary conference in 1963, the first Golden Image Awards were presented. And while the physical trophy we take home has evolved from the 3D Golden “heads” to the crystal pyramids we know today, the significance of this honor remains unchanged – to recognize your hard work and dedication to our profession.
This year’s judges consisted of out-of-state, accredited PR practitioners from PRSA, accredited and certified FPRA members who came from the Council of Past State Presidents and senior practitioners in FPRA’s Counselors’ Network who have at least 10 years of experience practicing public relations and have a history of winning Golden Image Awards.
Over the years, the Golden Image Awards have become the standard of public relations excellence in the state of Florida.
