FPRA 2013 Annual Conference: John W. Dillin Award
Congratulations to Lisa Malone, APR, CPRC, the winner of the 2012-2013 John W. Dillin Award!
The John W. Dillin Professional Award for service to the Florida Public Relations Association has been established as the highest, most prestigious award of the Association. The award honors the spirit and dedication of FPRA’s first president and founder, Lt. Col. John W. Dillin, and his lifetime of service to and support of the Association.
The purpose of the annual award is to recognize an FPRA member for his/her outstanding contribution to the Association and the field of public relations.
Lisa Malone’s contributions to FPRA are many. Malone was among those attending the first Brevard County FPRA meeting held in 1985 with Bob Gernert. She is one of the few members who attended that first meeting, which launched the Space Coast chapter, who is still active. She was so inspired by the organization, she quickly became a part of the Brevard chapter and grew in her responsibilities to the organization. – FPRA Immediate Past-President Melanie Mowry-Etters, APR, CPRC
