Can’t make it to state conference? We’re bringing one of the wonderful conference speakers to you! Dr. Patricia Whalen will present “Ethics in Public Relations – Is it an Oxymoron?” Dr. Whalen will review key ethical concepts to help public relations professionals drive ethical behavior in their organizations. Using current examples from today’s headlines, she makes the case that poor ethical decision making drives most of today’s PR crises and demonstrates how public relations practitioners can guide an organization to do the right thing. The presentation will help PR practitioners reflect on personal and professional conduct and identify value systems based on sound philosophical principles and professional codes of ethics.
APRs can earn 0.5 CEUs by attending this program, which is half the 1 CEU required in Ethics Training.
Incoming board members will also be installed at this event for the 2023-2024 chapter year, which begins in September.
