Alecia Collins
Communications Director, Florida Division of Emergency Management
Alecia Collins is the communications and external affairs director for the Florida Division of Emergency Management. Alecia is a key spokesperson for the Division dealing with issues regarding natural and manmade disasters. This role has helped to hone her skills in crisis communications. Alecia has close to 10 years of experience working with multiple state agencies as a lead communication, marketing and branding professional. Prior to this role, she served as deputy communications director for the Florida Department of Transportation. Alecia also served as press secretary for Florida’s Chief Financial Officer for the Florida Department of Financial Services. Alecia received her bachelor’s degree in public relations with a minor in business administration from Florida A&M University.
