Game On at the President’s Welcome Reception:
Chapters Invited to Tee Up the Fun

FPRA chapters are invited to get in on the fun during the President’s Welcome Reception during the PR & Comms Summit this August!

Hosted at Eagles Edge at ChampionsGate, this lighthearted, immersive experience will blend networking with playful competition in a setting inspired by the iconic golf comedies Happy Gilmore and Caddyshack. The event will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday, August 9, 2026.

Chapters are invited to reserve a dedicated bay, each accommodating 6–8 participants at a time and equipped with Toptracer technology, an HDTV, complimentary clubs and casual high-top seating. Teams can rotate players from one game to the next and choose to play easy, approachable games like Angry Birds, Go Fish or virtual golf – or simply enjoy the atmosphere, cheer on their peers and mingle.

To spark creativity and camaraderie, each team is encouraged to name their team, decorate their bay and create a custom “Spirit Stick” in true Camp Summit style. Chapters are also welcome to team up on bay reservations, too.

In the spirit of this golf-themed event, a golf pro will be on hand to share tips and tricks to help improve our attendees’ game.

Get ready for some fun competition, too! Light-hearted awards will recognize creativity, spirit and commitment to the theme – think best team name, most decorated bay or best use of Happy Gilmore or Caddyshack flair.

At the end of the Reception, each chapter’s Spirit Sticks will be collected for display at Camp Summit, located in the engagement space at the 2026 PR & Comms Summit where they will remain on display for the duration of the conference – serving as a visible, lasting symbol of chapter pride, shared experience and Summit spirit.

Chapters are encouraged to reserve their space, as the number of bays is limited. The following levels are available. Don’t forget that your chapter may be able to obtain a sponsor to assist!

• Decorate your own golf bay with your Chapter’s team spirit.
• Each bay is equipped with an HDTV, Toptracer technology with smart target and game play and complimentary clubs.
• Chapter logo displayed on the television monitors.
• A high-top table and some high-top chairs are provided. (Accommodates 6-8 people)
• Play Angry Birds, Go Fish, or a simple virtual golf game. Or just join the fun.
• Don’t forget to name your team!
• Show your creative team spirit throughout the reception.

Not sure you want to take this solo? Team up with another chapter and share a bay! You can also invite a sponsor to join in the fun and help offset the cost.

It’s Time to Rally Your Team and Reserve Your Bay

Here are some fun ideas on ways to engage your team before and during the Reception.

• Design and decorate a custom Spirit Stick (Camp Summit style!)
• Name your team (bonus points for Happy Gilmore or Caddyshack references)
• Wear matching or themed T-shirts, polo shirts, hats or costumes
• Decorate your golf bay with team colors, props or signage
• Incorporate movie-inspired décor, quotes or characters
• Create a team cheer, chant or signature celebration
• Bring themed props for photos (gophers, hockey sticks, gold jackets, etc.)
• Coordinate accessories (sunglasses, headbands, caddie bibs, towels)
• Strike a signature team pose for group photos
• Lean into the theme with playful personalities or light role-playing
