Each year, LeadershipFPRA brings together a select group of professionals from across Florida to explore leadership through a broader lens…beyond the boundaries of our day-to-day practice. Participants gain insights into issues shaping our state and profession through immersive sessions, exclusive access to state leaders and business visionaries, and behind-the-scenes tours of some of Florida’s most vital institutions. The program offers the kind of high-level exposure and strategic thinking you rarely find in a standard training.

However, what makes LeadershipFPRA unique is how personal growth occurs.

Every year, I return to lead a session called “Breaking Through Fear.” It’s not your typical leadership lecture. Participants are invited to identify a fear that holds them back—whether in communication, confidence, or career—and physically break through a wooden board to symbolize moving past it. What happens in that moment is often emotional, empowering, and deeply memorable.

The symbolism sticks. So does the self-belief.

Leadership isn’t just about mastering skills or navigating strategy. It’s about facing what’s in the way…internally and externally, and choosing to step forward. LeadershipFPRA creates the space for that kind of breakthrough.

This program has been a launchpad for career advancement, clarity, courage, and community for me and so many others. Graduates go on to lead chapters, serve on state boards, shift industries, and create lasting impact in their organizations. But more importantly, they leave with a deeper understanding of who they are and what kind of leader they want to be.
