Leigh Woisard is senior vice president of corporate public affairs for Cox Communications, the largest private broadband company in America. She directs the company’s internal communications, media relations, product publicity, crisis communications and corporate social responsibility. Previously, she was press secretary for the Lt. Governor of Rhode Island and deputy chief of staff for U.S. Congressman Bob Weygand. She has managed PR campaigns for clients such as Chili’s Grill & Bar, The New England Journal of Medicine and a division of Stanley Tools. Leigh regularly volunteers as a speaker for women’s and other professional groups on topics such as public speaking, imposter syndrome, professional burn-out and taking control of your career narrative. Leigh has been honored with PRSA’s Silver Anvil Award and named a Wonder Woman by Multichannel News. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Rhode Island and a master’s degree in communications management from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School.
