Cayce Myers, Ph.D., LL.M., J.D., APR, is an associate professor and director of graduate studies at Virginia Tech’s School of Communication where he teaches public relations, communication law and strategic communication. Prior to entering academia, he was an attorney in Georgia. He holds a doctorate and master’s degree in mass communication from the Henry W. Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia, a Master of Laws from the University of Georgia School of Law, a Juris Doctorate from Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts from Emory University. His research focuses on laws affecting public relations practice, specifically regulations on social media. He is the author of “Public Relations History: Theory Practice and Profession,” “Money in Politics: Campaign Fundraising in the 2020 Presidential Election”, and co-author of the “4th Edition of Mass Communication Law in Virginia.”
