Lt. Col. Lt. Col. Caitlin Brown began her career in public relations in December 2004, when she was commissioned as an Air Force public affairs officer. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in public relations from the University of Florida and also holds a Master of Science degree in organizational leadership from Duquesne University. She has served in numerous roles as a communications professional, most recently as the director of public affairs for the Florida National Guard. In that position, she was responsible for all strategic communication efforts for a dynamic 12,000-person statewide organization, leading a 30-plus-person team tasked with everything from content creation to social media management to crisis communication. She currently lives in Washington, D.C., where she works as a public affairs officer for General Daniel Hokanson, the 4-star Chief of the National Guard Bureau and a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
