Doug Williams is an author, playwright, and award-winning screenwriter who has three decades of experience in communications. He is a former journalist, editor and columnist; worked as a press secretary in the U.S. Senate; managed PR, branding, and marketing functions with agencies and in the public and private sectors; and has worked in government relations at the state and federal levels. His script based on the life of Barbara Jordan, Black Star Rising, has been recognized in 25 film festivals, winning five Best Screenplay awards. His noir short, A Bullet For Your Thoughts, has won five Best Film awards. Critics compared his novel Nowhere Man to Homeland and House of Cards. And as a playwright, he has four New York production credits.
