Joe and Chad McLeod
Co-Founders, McLeod Communications
Joe and Chad McLeod are brothers, PR professionals, podcasters and co-founders of the PR consulting firm McLeod Communications. Together, they spent nearly 10 years working with clients ranging from Fortune 500 brands to local nonprofits. Their expertise is in issues management, crisis communications, media relations and communications strategy. For several years, they produced a weekly podcast, On Message, where they discussed – and sometimes argued over – PR takeaways from the major new stories of the week.
Joe and Chad have been part of FPRA for many years. Joe is a past president of the Dick Pope/Polk County Chapter, and Chad is a past president of the Tampa Bay Chapter.
In 2022, they both decided to venture out and join the in-house PR and communications teams for other organizations.
Joe is the director of public relations at One More Child, an organization that serves children and families through foster care, anti-trafficking, child hunger and other programs. He and his wife, Rebekah, live in Lakeland with their three children. Joe is also a military veteran who served eight years in the U.S. Army Reserve.
Chad is part of the global communications team at Compassion International, a global child development nonprofit that works in 27 countries, where he oversees internal communications in Latin America and the Caribbean region. Chad is also a city commissioner in Lakeland. He and his wife, Erin, have three children.
