As the pandemic churns on, Zoom fatigue has set in for many people. Many agencies and businesses are looking at hosting in-person events again. Attend this month’s meeting and professional development event to learn how two agencies have successfully pulled off safe, in-person or hybrid events while keeping attendees and staff safe.
The MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Event Center in Port St. Lucie is a premier event destination for the Treasure Coast. Featuring two grand ballrooms, an outdoor amphitheater and festival grounds, the venue hosts banquets, meetings, conferences, trainings, expos, tradeshows, concerts, performing arts, fundraisers, festivals, sporting events and much more. Director Linda McCarthy will share how the MIDFLORIDA Event Center dealt with the COVID-19 pandemic and still safely hosted 329 total event days in 2020, with more than 97,000 attendees and a nearly 5-star customer service rating.
City of Port St. Lucie Communications staff Sarah Prohaska and Melissa Yunas will share how the city was forced to think outside the box to hold it’s annual Citizen Summit this year, which is a highly engaging event meant to gather citizen input. The solution: A Virtual Summit, which had more than 450 people register to participate on Zoom, followed by three smaller, outdoor “pop up” events, including a one-of-a-kind interactive trail.
