Social action takes into account the action and reactions of others. We act and react more positively when we see similarities rather than differences in others. That concept is crucial for social action. Regretfully, it is often overlooked in diversity and inclusion (D&I) programs which are sources for ally recruitment. Understanding the problem (the D&I paradox), knowing the solution (shared similarities mindset), and engaging in dialog along those lines creates a pathway for effective and actionable change.
Join us for a conversation with Dr. Earl Mowatt, Vice President of Education at onePULSE Foundation to talk about the importance of diversity and inclusion in our society and some actions we can take to promote positive change. All the proceeds from the event will go to onePULSE Foundation.
