Lake County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Fred Jones brings a unique perspective to the conversation of use of force in law enforcement. An advocate for Racial Intelligence Training & Engagement (RITE), Sgt. Jones makes a passionate and reasoned plea for empathy in law enforcement. He has taught RITE Training to his entire agency and has seen first-hand its impact.

Speaker: Sgt. Jones is a firm believer in transparency between law enforcement agencies and the community. He will share with participants his personal journey in law enforcement and how he brought forward RITE training to his agency’s leadership.

A native Floridian, Sgt. Jones and has worked in law enforcement for over 20 years. He currently serves the Sheriff’s Office in Professional Standards and acts as one of the agency’s Public Information Officers.
