Capital Chapter presents ER For PR @ Florida Health Care Association

The Florida Public Relations Association’s Capital Chapter hosts ER for PR every year. It’s an opportunity for nonprofits without full-time public relations staff to receive 90 minutes of counseling free of charge. The event includes a 30-minute education session for nonprofits followed by a 90-minute counseling session with a medic. Special thank you to Florida Health Care Association and MillCreek Financial Consultants for sponsoring this year’s event! WANTED: Public Relations “Medics” for the 2023 ER for PR event! Help give back to our local community by volunteering to be a “medic” at ER for PR. You will be paired with a local nonprofit and will have 90 minutes to counsel them on best practices and ways to implement public awareness campaigns, special events or media relations strategies. Attend our September professional development meeting with our Chapter President, Lindsay Tozer, FCRM for our inaugural State of the Chapter meeting held at our new location – Taylor College; 2531 East Silver Springs Blvd. in Ocala, FL! Citrus County – In-person meetings will be held at a local county building. Stay tuned for the location confirmation. Special thanks to the Citrus County for helping to coordinate logistics!

This meeting will update existing members and future members on the current state of the Ocala Chapter, serving both Citrus and Marion Counties. This meeting is intended to answer questions and get a grip on event topics and ideas that would service our members and future members. So come with your ideas and share what will help our chapter grow and be successful!

Hot buffet lunch will be served starting at 11:30 a.m., Leadership ice-breaker starts at 11:45 a.m., and the one-hour program begins promptly at noon.

The Copperline Coffee + Cafe venue in Port Orange will provide a fitting backdrop for the “Celebrating the New Year” Social and will include coffee tastings to symbolize the embracing of a new year with renewed energy.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet Wendy Crites Wacker, the new FPRA State President as well as the incoming Board of Directors for the Volusia/Flagler Chapter. Wendy will hold a board induction as well as share her vision and goals for the 2023-2024 year.
