As PR practitioners in the government-industry, we are often communicating on behalf of a variety of audiences – public citizens/constituents, internal departments, community partners, senior staff, and elected officials. We find ourselves wearing multiple hats, from planning educational PR campaigns/events to putting out the daily public information “fires,” we see it all. Transparency and policy are probably two of our most used words and reactionary mode is our normal. Additionally, over the last two years, we have learned to ride the waves of national social and cultural movements ensuring that our government agencies listen, adapt, and connect to the community at large. Join us as we share best practices, challenges, and lessons learned in our unique world.
